Games Night…

Finished up the last couple of letters, and wrote out 40 cards to folks not receiving the letter! I feel very good when this is done each year, but really do need to get started a little earlier on the project. I am especially pleased about the beautiful printer paper in spite of its cost. … Read more

Opalescent paper…

Spent most of the day today writing my, what turned out to be, eight page Christmas 2002 letter. It’s a good thing I know Aunt Annette and Uncle Frank anticipate its arrival so much ever year. That helps keep me motivated.

Last work day of 2002…

Had a good last work day today, met with Paul to learn agent rebranding process, and completed my PBCs. Intended to leave work by 3 by left just after 5. I stopped by Sam’s on the way home and picked up my roll of film with the last Hollywood pictures on them. Now I can … Read more

The funeral…

I got up around 8:30, and logged in from home. No urgent e-mail. I sent Paul a note, and copied Mathis, letting him know that I wouldn’t be able to meet today. He responded and suggested tomorrow at 1:30. Good, something to do tomorrow to help the afternoon go by. It’s my last day at … Read more

Lists, lists, lists…

We got up around 9:00, and went to IHOP for breakfast. Ken, the “big ole girl” waited on us. He was so nice, and a good waiter! On leaving there, we stopped at Cameron Village, at Acipiter and Jill Flink’s to look for a gift for the EAGLE party. I ended up getting a $22.50 … Read more

Happy Big Birthday…

I left work at around 3:30, and stopped by The Card Factory. I bought Christmas wrapping paper, some Christmas name tags for the EAGLE party, and got three mylar balloons for Robert. One said, “Happy Birthday,” one said, “50,” and the other said, “I Love You.” Robert arrived at around 6:00 and we left for … Read more

Bah Humbug!

It’s that time of year again, when I cringe every time I hear the introduction to the song, Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer. “You know Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, and Donner and Blitzen, But do you recall The most famous reindeer of all?” But? But? That conjunction just doesn’t work … Read more
