N.C. Museum of Art

I uninstalled Framemaker 6.0 and installed Frame2000 R5.5 to debug Kim’s Frame error. It felt good to figure that out. Had an exchange with Rich about PBCs, and Mathis’ request for ours without his and Alan’s. I received a (shocking) e-mail from Arvind about my EAGLE announcement and award. Later on, at home, I got … Read more

Book club… Wasted!

The ISO class finished today, but not earlier than scheduled as I had hoped. At about 10:45, I sent an e-mail to Jay that I wasn’t going to make the EAGLE luncheon. When I returned to my office at about 12:10, when the class ended, there was a frantic voice mail message from Jay. “John, … Read more

Hunter’s Creek HOA Meeting…

Witnessed the Netview R5.2 ISO audit. It was very informative. Marilyn really knows her stuff. I attended the Hunter’s Creek HOA meeting at 6:30 at Method Road Park. There were probably about 10 homeowners there, and the board of about 8. The VP, I immediately thought was gay. He pretty much confirmed it when at … Read more

Catchin up on the cruise…

Another day of ISO class. Left work at 6:30, and met Jay at Baja for dinner. We had a great chat, and he filled me in on all the folks on the EAGLE cruise, and on his excursions. I definitely want to attend next year’s gathering.

Taxes!

I got up early this morning to get to work between 7:30 at 8:00, thinking class started at 8. The start time ended up being 8:15, and I was grateful for a little found time. The ISO Compliance Workshop was grueling. The lady teaching it was somewhat of a bitch. Fortunately, she’s very competent, so … Read more

Getting well…

I slept in this morning, trying to shake this cold and the runs. I got up at around 2:30. I felt better physically, but feel bad about missing the training ride this morning. I will try to make it up during the week if I can squeeze it in. It’s going to be rough, though, … Read more

The wedding…

I woke up in the middle of the night not feeling at all well. I had a severe case of diarrhea. I looked in mom’s medicine cabinet, and a dose of Immodium AD, praying that that’s actually what was in the bottle. In the morning, things hadn’t changed much, and I wasn’t looking forward to … Read more

Travel to Jacksonville…

I tried on every suit in my closet, none of which fit. I ended up packing the one that I thought would be too big for me, which was, a little. The others are still too tight, however. At work, I had a topic review of the 4.5 ITIM manuals with Kim, and then attended … Read more

20 Miles!

I worked from home today, and stopped at about 4:30. I loaded my bike, and set off to Shelly Lake to ride. Since, I’m going to miss Saturday’s training, I thought I’d try to ride the 17 miles scheduled. I did 10 laps around the two-mile track! Yippee.

Foster Parenting Seminar…

Uneventful day at work. Had a nice lunch with Mike M. It’s always good to see him. We went to Rudino’s, and ate too much. He said he’s going to donate $100 to my bike ride. A generous guy he is! Courtney and I left work at 5:00, and pretty much fended for ourselves for … Read more
