IBM (Stan & Joseph) presented at the Guild meeting tonight. I was a first time guest, and actually had a great time. I staffed the EAGLE table during the reception hour. I met a lot of people, and a lot of people seemed interested in our materials.
The dinner was okay, and our table was fun enough. I sat with Jay, which was nice. He’s a member. Stan’s and Joseph’s presentations were very well-received. There were several questions at the end — more than I would have liked as they were making me even later for dancing.
I gathered the EAGLE materials (Will & Ned, and the Gay or Straight Game) and flew out of there. I changed into my shorts and a t-shirt in the parking lot and drove like a bat out of hell to Flex.
There was a decent crowd there, and I danced all night, two-stepping mostly with Adam, Gerald, and Joe. Adam made the comment that I was too popular to dance with. That could be because 1) I’m one of the few people who know how to two-step, and 2) I’m one of the few who do who dance the follow part.
I learned a new line dance — one of the few left that I don’t know. YIPPEE!
