May birthday in October…

Working on a deadline for the Planning Guide. Officially should have been done today, but will buy more time without penalty.

Book club lunch today at the Tivoli cafeteria. Janet showed up late; no fallout from note exchange on swapping last week’s meeting with little notice. She was just back from her cousin Bruce’s wedding in New Orleans. We got the run-down. Suzanne couldn’t make it and was missed. Mary made cupcakes for my birthday. Sharon gave me my present — The Nanny Diaries (our current book)! Excellent. Sharon and Mary gave me cards. I ate 3 cupcakes — two at lunch and one mid-afternoon with a cup of cawfee.

Janet’s Birthday: May 12th — Celebrated today: I left work at 5:00 to meet Janet at Weathervane Restaurant for dinner at 5:45. At 6:05, when she hadn’t yet arrived, I ordered the most delicious Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash Soup. She arrived just after that, and ordered crabcake appetizers as there wasn’t time to order an entree if we were to make the 7:00 movie. She ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. We left the restaurant at 6:55. We both got buttered popcorn and sat down to the movie, which was just starting at 7:10. We saw IGBY GOES DOWN. I loved this movie. Dark, dark, comedy. Very dark.

From there I stopped by Robert’s (after stopping at a convenience store, at first for Janet to get a soda, and then for her to fill up her car). I arrived at Robert’s, we shared our day, and our… MMMMMMMMMM.

I got home at about 10:30. I scanned 6 gay ads (Verizon, Brown, Delta, CapitalOne, Bridgestone, and Orbitz) from OUT and THE ADVOCATE magazines. I owe these two Sarah in the morning for the GLBT Value Proposition.

I read a few chapters of HOW I LEARNED TO SNAP.

Life is GOOD.
