Home alone; heavenly…

Had an education session on Epic by Jim E. with Diane M. Jim’s a piece of work with his command window DOS commands process.

I “vaguely” attended the ID Community Meeting via conference call and e-Meeting. Dave S. says, “and quite frankly” way too much. I dropped off at the beginning of the “Editing for Quality” agenda item. And you would edit for what other reason? Grrrrrr!

I helped Diane M. with her IDWB error, and ended up uninstalling IDWB 3.6 and installing 3.7.

I left work at 2:50 to pick Jeff up at B656, and take him to the airport. He had a 5:30 flight out, but wanted to be there that early.

I stopped by the TCW post office box on the way home, and was delighted to find a $1000 pledge to TCW via Microsoft’s charitable gifts program. ($500 from the donor, and a $500 corporate match from Microsoft. Yippee.)

I came home to my “home to myself” and relished it. I took a two-hour nap.

At 7:00, I made myself a killer salad, and had a butterscotch pudding for dessert.

At about 8, I left for Crabtree, where I got fitted for my tux for the HRC dinner at After Hours. I got the “Tommy model,” and with the shoes it came to right about $80. I still look fat. Oh well. I suppose I look less fat.

While she “wrote up” my order, I zipped over to Sears to check on the status of my gas grill. It’s assembled and ready to be picked up. Yippee.

From Crabtree, I went to Third Place, where I answered the questions to last week’s Read My Lips assignment, read the next two chapters, and made up the assignment for our meeting on Valentine’s Day.

On the way home, I stopped at Harris Teeter. I got salad stuff, filet mignon, ground turkey, chicken, and pork chops, among other things.

At home, I typed up, and printed off, the new assignment, and caught up my journal.
