Taxes!

I got up early this morning to get to work between 7:30 at 8:00, thinking class started at 8. The start time ended up being 8:15, and I was grateful for a little found time.

The ISO Compliance Workshop was grueling. The lady teaching it was somewhat of a bitch. Fortunately, she’s very competent, so I didn’t totally tune her out. I got very frustrated though, and verbally expressed it, after an exercise we did trying to associate clauses in the standard with items such as “Processes,” “Methods,” and “Adherence to somethings.” She didn’t (and wouldn’t) explain the methodology of how she came up with the answers.

During lunch I caught up on my mail and on postings to the final few “Walk and Talk in Thought” questions.

The afternoon session was less frustrating, but as tedious.

After class, I worked on my federal taxes. I made pretty good progress with just a few items to get from home.

On the way home, I called Rob about how we’re going to claim the joint items we still have. I had to leave two voice mail messages, and I was frustrated. My last message said to read his email, and once home devised one with “the plan.” I also need whatever mail he has for me that he said was tax-related. I have no idea what it is.

I also urged him (once again) to take care of that joint 2nd mortgage we have, as now, we are going into another tax year (2003) in which we’re going to have to deal with yet again when filing in 2004.

At home, I got the ItsDeductible stuff together, which is one item I need to complete my taxes. I also need an email response from Nathan Groom on financial planning expenses.

Around 10PM, I checked in with Robert on AIM, and we shared each other’s day. I thanked him for taking in my recycle bin; he’s so thoughtful and I so appreciate that. And it’s a good thing he did it, as I left the back door unlocked when I put it out this morning.
