A TIGR in my tank…

We got up at 7:15 and left for work shortly after 8. I confirmed our MSBC meeting at around 9:30, and everyone but Janet (understandably) was planning to attend. At 10:30, I got an e-mail from Jennifer K. telling me about the TIGR Council meeting from 10:00 — 11:00 CST, which made me unable to attend lunch. Mary, Sharon, and Suzanne met without me.

The TIGR meeting was good; I was glad I attended it. Jennifer K. seems real nice, and organized. I have a bunch of work to pick up from Cassandra. The unofficial word is that she is having a very difficult pregnancy, and her fate, as far as maternity leave, is not known. I’ll ask Rich about this on Thursday.

After the conference call, I had a private call with Jennifer K. to identify what audits, specifically, the Security Pillar is concerned about. She also helped me with some questions about the SWG Audit Database, and helped me to get access to the TIGR team room. She is also working to get all of Cassandra’s items re-assigned to me.

I spent a little bit of time with the developers today (Bill S. and Jeff R.) trying to clarify the final installation configurations ITIM will be supporting. Tomorrow I need to get to the installation programs, and sent a note to Barry before I left requesting help with that in the morning.

We had a 4:00 team meeting (Kim, Jim), and we talked about distributing my work to free me up to do TIGR work. Jim wants me to get the server books on WebSphere to draft one state before bailing. This is understandable and reasonable. After Jim hung up from the call, Kim and I talked about me cutting off all input as of today, and shooting to have a review (or information session) on Wednesday, 5/28. I think that’s doable.

Courtney and I left work at about 7:15. At home, she dropped me off, and took my car shopping. I made myself some dinner, and started reading Martin & John. She arrived home at about 9:30 with loads of bags. She busied herself planting cuttings of a Japanese Maple, and, I think, a Camellia bush.

I finished Martin & John just after 11:30. I got games together to take to Susanne tomorrow for her vacation. I caught up this journal in bed on my laptop.
