Car trouble and dancing…

The alarm went off at 7:15, and we MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMed. Robert then rushed out to get to work by 8. I went back to sleep and had lots of very vivid dreams, as I often do when going back to sleep in the morning. Robert called at about 11 to say that his car still wasn’t ready, and that they need a few more hours.

I got up, made some waffles, and coffee, brought up the new laptop I
received from work, and caught up my journal. Joe called at about 12:15, and said, though he hadn’t pre-registered, he intends to ride tomorrow. We agreed to ride together in his truck. He’s going to meet us at Flex tonight.

Robert ran back to his place to pick me up at about 1:15, and I dropped him back off to work. Sears has estimated yet another two hours for his repair work.

I rode back to Raleigh, straightened up a little, had lunch, and headed back to Chapel Hill at about 4:30. We got to Sears by 6:00, and Robert was disappointed to hear that the brakes were “a little low, probably due to the master cylinder,” which was the whole reason he thought the brakes need to be repaired. I hate dealing with cars. The average consumer knows too little about them.

He drove back to work, and I drove back to Raleigh.

I left for Flex at about 7:50. There was not much of a crowd at all, but by the time we finished it was jamming in there. It was “Bear Night,” and we danced until 11:00 instead of 10:30, which was great. Another night without Andre and Al there. Cool.

Robert and I hung out for an extra half-hour or so, and then left. Robert went back to Chapel Hill, so he could be rested, and on-time for work tomorrow. I have my bike ride in the morning, early, so will get a good night’s rest, too.

Joe and I agreed to meet at my place at 7.
