Shell Island…

We got up around 9:00, had a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs with chourico and cheese in them, some toast, and milk. It was quite good, if I may say so myself.

We got on the road a little before noon, and had a fun ride to the beach. Snacks, which Robert had brought, consisted of Chitos, and then Chocolate Covered Raisins. Yum. We made one stop, at the rest stop at the Clinton exit.

The first room they gave us was on the fifth floor, but had two double beds in it. Robert went back to tell them we had a king sized bed room reserved, and they moved us to room 213. It was a beautiful room, with a better view, really, even though it was lower.

I had been thinking all the way about sitting out on the balcony, facing the ocean, and reading, and that’s the first thing I did once we got settled in.

Robert served me a DC&CC, and popped us some popcorn. Life is good. We watched some old SNL on cable, and laughed at the Baba-Wa-Wa impersonator.

At about 4:00, we went to K-39 Baja Grill and had tacos from the “Siesta Menu.” They were delicious. From there, we rode to a Super K-Mart, where we bought one pair of leather shoelaces, and a banana-nut coffee cake.

Right across the street, there was a Harris Teeter, where we stopped to pick up dinner. Ground Italian sausage, rotini noodles, Emeril’s Roasted Red Pepper Spaghetti sauce, some asparagus, a loaf of French Bread, and some butter.

Back at the room, we set the alarm for an hour-and-a-half nap, MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMed, and fell asleep. We woke, up by the alarm, at 7:00PM.

Robert cooked the pork, sauce, and noodles, while I cut up the asparagus, and bread. Robert cooked the asparagus, while I buttered (and ate several pieces) of the bread.

We had a most delicious dinner. While it was cooking, and some while we were eating, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy was on, but it was pretty bad. I was very surprised they had the Bravo channel on their cable system, though. We had the banana-nut coffee cake for dessert. Yummy!

We watched some CMT videos, some of Bewitched, I Love Lucy, and I Dream of Jeannie. The “I Dream of Jeannie” episode was terrible. We turned it off half way through. We watched to crocodiles mate on the Animal Planet station for a few minutes. Not very erotic, but interesting nonetheless.

At about 11:00 while watching TV, things got a little “frisky” again, and we started MMMMMMMMMMMMMing on the couch and then took it into the room. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
