Fahrenheit 9/11

I left Van’s at about 9:15. At home, my message light was blinking with two messages from Delta airlines wanting to schedule a time to deliver my bag. I called them, and they said they’d be here some time in the next four hours. I traded a couple of e-mails with Robert, with one containing some knock-your-socks-off information about his brother.

My bag arrived at about 11:30, and everything seems to be in it. Thank goodness. I caught up on my work e-mail and the EAGLE discussion database, which was totally ridiculous. A huge, huge thread about some anti-gay ValuesJam postings, which did not at all engage me, and then another ad nauseum discussion about deleting entries from the database, which concluded with Julie deleting a bunch of hers again, which erupted into yet another flame war. This round of posting deletion discussions started with Shane deleting most, if not all, of his postings, including his profile. No one knows why he did it.

I took a nap for several hours. I unpacked, and washed a couple of loads of laundry. I’m off to the 7:00 showing of Fahrenheit 9/11 at Brier Creek.

Movie Synopsis: Michael Moore’s take on what happened to the United States after September 11; and how the Bush Administration used the tragic event to push its agenda.

If it were possible for me to be any more disgusted with George Bush than I already am, this movie probably would have made me so. But it’s not, so it didn’t.

I tried very hard to watch this movie as if it were a movie about President Clinton by Rush Limbaugh.
