The first day of 2005…

We wasted this day. Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep. We had nachos for lunch, and pizza for dinner. A nutritious first day of the year as well.

David, from White Rabbit, called late afternoon, with an offer of $27.95 for the books I brought there yesterday. Cool on two accounts: 1) I didn’t expect such a quick response, and 2) I was just going to donate those books to Goodwill for nothing.

We got to Flex between 8 and 8:30. There were many dancers there, and the crowd grew as the night flew by. Fun time dancing.

Joe arrived around 11, and we waited for someone he was potentially meeting from the Internet, but the guy never showed up. Or, if he did, he wasn’t wearing what he said he’d be wearing.

We walked to CCs at around 11:30. The place was an absolute sty. I’ve never seen anything like it. They didn’t clean the floor at all from last night. There were pieces of popped balloons, and their strings, all over the floor, and some pages of a newspaper on the floor in one area — just unbelievable. What were they thinking in there?

I spent a little bit of time in the piano room. When I walked in, they had this straight woman with big breasts sitting up at the piano with Greg and Kevin. They were singing, “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman,” and had the crowd singing, “Wa-oop” whenever Kevin motioned to them. The girl was with a straight guy, and they brought him up there after her, and he seemed a little uncomfortable. I left then.

The place really wasn’t working for me. After some goodbyes with Joe we left. An all around bummer ending to a fun earlier evening. Oh well. Ups and Downs. Just like real life.
