First cookout of the season…

I got up at 10:00, and rushed to the grocery store to get stuff for the party at my house at 1:00. I so needed to be doing homework all day today.

I got back, cut up some of the veggies for my salad, cut up tomatoes and onions for the hamburgers, straighted up downstairs, and vacuumed, uncovered and arranged all of the patio furniture — just in time for 1:00.

The first guest arrived at 1:25. Ben and Dale, Joe and Loren, Steve and me. It was an absolutely gorgeous day for a cookout. I was missing Robert and tried to call him around 2:30 – 3:00, something like that, but the phone eventually went to voice mail.

Doug called close to 3:00 asking for directions, and I had to tell him that the party was winding down.

I made a little more progress on my web site project after they left, checked in with Robert by AIM, and then took a 1.5 hour nap.

I met Brian at Flex at 9:30. I stopped at the ATM machine at the SECU on Hillsborough St, and was a little nervous doing it. No incident though.

Karaoke was fun, and I had fun with Brian — busting on the usual suspects.
