We got a lot of sleep last night, maybe 10 hours. I did, at least.
We walked around the lake, starting at the Lake Dam Road entrance, and found the shoe still there, but moved from one end of the bench to the other.
We had a late lunch at CiCi’s, and then went to the 3:45 showing of Elizabethtown at Crossroads 20.
Movie Synopsis: After causing the Oregon shoe company he works for to lose hundreds of millions of dollars, Drew Baylor is fired for his mistake, and promptly also dumped by his girlfriend, Ellen. On the verge of suicide, Drew is oddly given a new purpose in life when he is brought back to his family’s small Kentucky hometown of Elizabethtown following the death of his father, Mitch, as it falls to him to make sure that his dying wishes are fulfilled. On the way home, Drew meets a flight attendant, Claire Colburn (Dunst), with whom he falls in love, in a romance that helps his life get back on track.
This movie was okay – not great, not bad. Robert didn’t like the look on Dunst’s face, which was the same about all 100 times it was shown during the movie. That didn’t bother me, though. I found it particularly distracting that her two front middle teeth were duller than the rest. Robert kind of liked that, though. I thought the “drive” at the end of the movie was too long, but Robert liked it.
I’ve heard the reviews of this movie have been very mixed. I guess our experience supports that.
We napped from 6PM to 9PM.
We got to Flex at about 10:30, where it was costume night. There were one or two creative costumes, none really “over the edge.”
When people saw me:
I’d say, “Ask me, ‘You didn’t dress up tonight?'” When they did, I’d say, “Well actually, I did get dressed up,” and lifted up my shirt to prove it:
We went to CCs later, where it was EXes night.
Back home, at about midnight, I started messing around with my iPod, and by 2AM had downloaded three or four CDs from my collection.
