My work day was consumed with creating my Monthly Highlight Reports for September of October, and preparing for my 11:00 meeting tomorrow.
I had my first massage ever tonight, at American & European Massage Center, with Pavel.
Having never had a massage before, I don’t really have anything to compare it to.
At the beginning, which started with his working on my back, I felt a lot of pain, and was quite apprehensive that something might “snap” back there, but it never did. And after a while, it didn’t hurt any more. I don’t know if that’s normal, but that’s how it happened for me.
I left there feeling pain-free in my lower back, which is not a state I often experience.
Many thanks to my friend Steve, who gave me the massage for my birthday via a gift certificate.
I met Joe for a delicious dinner at Hibernian’s. We split a chip and dip appetizer, and then each had the BBQ Chicken & Slaw wrap, which we’ve both had before, and both loved.
We sat next to three very obnoxious drunk, straight guys. The fact that they were straight isn’t significant, except that it made their conversation quite boring. That fact that they were boring isn’t really significant either. What is significant, is that they were way too loud.
After a short while, three women sat next to us at the only other table in this small area of the restaurant. They seemed, to us, to be out-doorsy girls.
We were not overly-thrilled with the service, but it wasn’t horrible.
Just as we were about ready to pay our check, the guy hosting a trivia game there was practically begging the women into staying and playing. “Even if you can’t stay, it would really help me out if you could just stay long enough to start the game,” he pleaded.
He started in on us, but we said, “Sorry, we are just about to pay our check,” and he ceased and desisted.
We went to Flex, and played several games of pool. Joe (biking Joe) was there, and the three of us took turns playing each other. You just can’t beat $1.25 for a mixed drink.
