Finch’s, Sadlocks, and Flex…

I met Kevin, Eric, Glenn, Kevin, and Jace at Finch’s for brunch. They actually gave us lunch menus, which I’d never seen before.

I’ve had a chicken salad sandwich, and their tuna salad sandwich, several weeks ago when Joe and I met the EAGLE group for the hike at the Eno.

Part way through the meal, Jace noticed that the wallpaper had been replaced in the room in which we were eating. I made some joke about them being desperate to raise the sanitation rating.

Later, the waitress said that that was the reason they’d changed it. They’re to the point there that they can’t raise their rating any more without doing things to the building.

Another thing they had to do was replace three sinks, because 1) they were square instead of round, and 2) they weren’t stainless steel.

I stopped by Sadlock’s Heroes tonight, as Brent had told me yesterday that he was playing there from 7-9 PM. I know he has a great voice, and to be honest I thought it would be an interesting experience, as that place is somewhere I would never find myself going on my own.

An experience it was indeed. It calls for a whole separate entry, which I’m going to write, and then post, later.

Dancing was festive tonight, but not as much as we thought it would be.

Someone said that someone who works at Flex said that the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is traditionally the second busiest night of the year. It certainly wasn’t that. It’s busier there for Trailer Trash Drag Nights than it was tonight.
