Quel dommage; a library lesson; a bulleted, read presentation, and mid-term work…

Toby: “I’m out of cigarettes.”

Bree: “Quel dommage.”

Toby: “What does ‘What a pity! What a shame! Too bad!’ mean?”

Bree: “It means you aren’t getting any more cigarettes.”

At the beginning of Internet & Society class tonight, the Collection Manager for the Humanities from the NCSU Libraries spent 15 minutes imparting invaluable information on how to search for journals and books for scholarly articles. Good stuff.

The second presentation group, who had the fiasco last Wednesday, gave their presentation today.

They had a lot of long bullet points, and many of them they just read.

Once again, the delineation between the research questions and the discussion questions was not made clear.

A couple of people in the class slept through parts of the presentation. I guess these undergrads are just tired at 4:30 in the afternoon.

I worked on my mid-term all night.
