Birthdays, research topic proposal feedback, and chicken on the grill…

My mother turned 74 today, which made me think, “Oh man, it’s my dad’s 75th at the end of April.” Which makes me think, “Shouldn’t we do something?” Must check in with sis and mom on that.

I also need to check in with my brother to see if he wants to fly somewhere for his 50th birthday, which is in November. He’s never flown in his life. My god, we’re all getting so old. [I suppose it beats the alternative.]

I received my CT scan results today, which were all clear. Yay.

Class was somewhat of a free-for-all tonight, as we met in the computer lab and basically spent 20-25 minutes in each of LambdaMOO, The Palace, and ActiveWorlds.

During this time, the professor called us up, one at a time, to discuss our research topic proposals. She described mine as “very interesting” and “very creative.” Now, let’s just hope that it doesn’t turn out to be very difficult.

We had a most delicious dinner tonight. I marinated boneless chicken breasts, and Robert cooked them on the grill for us. We had that along with mashed red potatoes, and French-cut green beans.

For dessert, we had some fantastic banana bread that Robert had baked. Yummy!

I wasn’t really into dancing again tonight. It was way too hot in there tonight, which never helps my mood.

Once home, Robert and I finished the USA Today crossword puzzle we had started before we’d left.
