Helioing, a cookout with Joe, some billiards, and some trip reservations…

I met Kevin at Helios, and it was a beautiful day to be outside enjoying the weather, having coffee, and doing whatever the hell I wanted to do.

There were two guys walking around measuring walls and such, no doubt beginning this work. A girl walking by them asked them a question, which I couldn’t hear, but I did hear the answer, “Oh, we can’t answer that; it’s top secret.” I think they were kidding, but they didn’t answer her.

I asked someone who looked like they were in management if they were considering adding more outlets outside while they’re remodeling. “Would you like that?” he asked.

“Yes, that way we all won’t have to scramble for that one table over in the corner where the one outlet is.”

“I’ll pass that on. Thanks for letting us know.”

I started, and completed, the reference letter that I promised Irene about three days ago. Hopefully, I’ve made it worth the wait.

I left Helios at just after 4:30, and once home, made four burger patties out of the ground hamburger I had, and sliced up some tomatoes — in preparation for cooking out with Joe.

He arrived a little after 5:30, and we cooked out, and sat out on the deck and had dinner, while catching up on his trip to Philadelphia.

Even though I’ve been careful to cover my Martha Stewart deck furniture, mildew has managed to form on some of the chairs and on the netting of the bar. Grrrrr.

After dinner, Joe and I headed over to Flex, where we played three games of pool and I, at least, enjoyed cheap drinks. On Monday nights, the “well drinks” are $1.25. Can’t beat it with a stick.

Joe (of Joe & Phil) stopped in, and we chatted with him for probably 30 minutes. We left at about 10:00

At home, I had a brief AIM conversation with Irene about my reference. Evidently, it “worked” for her. Yay!

I made reservations for a trip to Massachusetts in the middle of June to visit a couple of my aunts and uncles, and ending with a three-day stay in P-Town.

If you haven’t already taken it, I would be very grateful if you’d take this less-than-three-minute (I hope) survey! I’m running it for a week, so if you can’t get to it this moment, and visit again in the next week, please take it then.
