After putting three of my postcards for Postsecret in the mailbox, I wanted to see what my mail lady would think. From my hiding spot, I watched her go mechanically about her business, but then stop as she glanced down at my postcards. She read them, studying each one carefully, front and back. She was concentrating so hard on my secrets, she didn’t even realize that her car was slowly pulling forward. By the time she was done, she was wiping her eyes, and had accidentally moved forward two houses. It was one of the most memorable things in my life. |
My car cranked just fine when I started it to head to Myra’s office for 1:00.
I worked all afternoon on the STC newsletter, while learning Microsoft Publisher. I like it no more or less than other Microsoft products.
It cost me $5.00 to park on campus today. I’m thinking someone should be paying me to create a newsletter, not the other way around. But I digress…
I spent the early evening at Helios, where I had the most delightful AIM conversation with the Snobby Harrison Girls: Irene, and her sister Susan. Several times I was laughing loud enough that the people sitting around me started to get a little nervous.
This one guy came in with an ass to die for. Irene found that description “vulgar.” Yes, she’s a snob and a prude.
After “hanging up” with the Harrison sisters, I had a nice AIM conversation with Robert.
Before leaving there, I did the Word Jumble, the Cryptoquote, and the Crossword Puzzle from today’s N&O, foraged from the recycle bin.
My printed photos from my trip up north arrived today, and in spite of the warning on Kodak EasyShare Gallery that the quality of several of my 4x6s weren’t going to be that good, I was satisfied with them.
I paid my tuition, electronically, for the fall semester, $1220.15, very cognizant of another “withdrawal from savings.” However, I did have to withdraw from savings to pay my tuition even when I was working full time.
