Be a good wife, and “just a little bit gay” in all that we do…

Ah, the good old days! Mind bullet point three — and please do be “just a little gay.”

[FWIW: Snopes has marked the validity of this supposed actual Housekeeping Monthly magazine article as: Undetermined. Most likely, it came from a 1950’s Home Economics textbook.]

I was going to go to Helios today, but the promise of “the hottest day of the year” kept me in my own home during the peak hours of the day.

I worked on my book, and later went grocery shopping. Back home, I made patties out of my ground turkey purchase, and boiled the three chicken breasts I’d bought.

Dancing was okay tonight — not great. Just a few dancers, and not many bar patrons at all.

Carl reviewed the dance he taught last week, which I need to get the name of. It’s to a tango beat, and the more I do it, the more it is becoming my favorite dance — for right now at least.

He also taught the “Cowboy Cha” — I think that’s what it was called. Though, that may be the name of that other one.

This second one has some steps where, while you move in four different directions over eight beats, you put your right arm up in the air and move it in a circle like you are lassoing something, which feels a little stupid because, of course, you aren’t lassoing something.

That’s how it feels; how it looks is, well, in a nutshell — it looks gay. Fortunately for all of us, we are gay, so it’s a nonissue.

Back home, Robert and I did a bitch of a crossword puzzle. Its central theme was artists (painters, sculptors, and names of their work in the clues).

I hated the puzzle, but I loved doing it with him.
