Homo sweet home…

We decided to blow off the trip out to the fairgrounds today in favor of getting home earlier. We left DC at about 10:30.

We stopped for lunch at a Hardee’s, where we used a buy-one-sandwich-get-one-free coupon. I also filled up at this stop, as gas was $2.39 a gallon — the lowest I’ve seen in at least a year.

We took 85 to Durham, I dropped off Robert, and arrived back in Raleigh at about 3:30, I think.

I read a lot of my “Variety in Languages” reading assignments for tomorrow’s class, but didn’t finish all of them.

I was joined by Joe and Kevin (av8rdude) at Flex for karaoke. We spent some time talking with “Rip” (who was in town from Roanoke Rapids again), and Gerald (the C&W karaoke singer, not the Gerald from the rodeo).

When Joe left, I went over to Legends with Kevin, but left after about 30 minutes. I saw Kevin’s ex, Joey, there and he actually said hello to me.
