A dirty limerick, editing, awarding, defending, and my brother’s 50th…

Overheard in a bar…

There once was a dyke named Louise
With pubic hair down to her knees.
Her crabs got together
And knitted a sweater
So in winter her twat wouldn’t freeze.

I worked from home today, spending almost all eight hours editing the TDI Users Guide. I did stop long enough to send “Thanks Awards,” to two people who have helped me out a lot this year.

Not surprisingly, as they are helpful people in general, they each had reached the maximum number of awards that you can receive in a year (which is 3), so I sent them “Appreciation Cards” instead, copying their managers on them.

I attended the first round of ENG 675 Defenses tonight, at which my friends Will and Brian presented. The guys both did a fine job.

It was good to see some folks I hadn’t seen in a while, including Michelle, Lars, and Jason.

I met Kevin (av8rdude) and Kurt out for Trailer Park Prize Night, which was pretty much uneventful. Mary K. Mart hosted, so the caliber of show was on the higher end. The higher end of what, I don’t know.

Today is my brother’s birthday, and he turns the big Five-Oh. Which means, to me, that I’m only 11 months away from the same auspicious event.
