Editing away, final paper not yet final, and scareyoke…

I had a full day of editing at IBM today, and still am nowhere near where I need to be in order to finish this edit job by the close of business on Thursday. Oh well. This, too, shall pass.

I was going to cancel my one-one-one meeting with my manager, for the aforementioned reason mostly, but besides that, I really didn’t have anything to cover. However, since it’s the last one of the year, I just went with it. It was just fine, so I’m glad I didn’t cancel it.

I worked on my final paper for ENG 525 Variety in Language, which is due tomorrow at 5PM. The official title of the paper is now: Data Collection: Contribution to the Sociolinguistically Perplexing Phenomenon of “Sounding Gay”

I can’t wait to have this paper finished. I can’t wait — more — for next Monday night at 9:00 by which time I will have finished my final exam, and at which time the nightmare, which has been this class, will be over forever and ever. Amen.

I went to Flex for Scareyoke tonight. A friend of Richard’s (the bartender), named James, was there, and he started talking with me. He was already shit-faced when he started, and within two more drinks he was shitier-faced than ever. An obnoxious drunk. The worst.
