Annual appraisal, going mobile, Heliosing, an appetizer and salad dinner, and dancing…

I got up at 7:15, and was in the office by 8:00. I had my annual appraisal with my manager, and it all went as expected, which is the way it should be.

I brought up my idea of becoming a totally mobile employee, and she had no problem with it, so I will probably make that happen within the coming month.

I left shortly after our meeting, as today is officially one of my three-days-a-week days off.

I went to Helios, where I worked on my blog until a little after noon.

I stopped at the Harris Teeter at Cameron Village on the way home, and bought a boatload of fresh vegetables, and some shrimp and bacon to make the appetizers for tonight’s dinner.

At home, I spent a good hour to hour-and-a-half preparing vegetables—slicing, dicing and chopping carrots, cucumbers, celery, mushrooms, tomatoes, broccoli, and butternut squash—oh yeah, and rinsed and tore up the Romaine lettuce.

Robert arrived late afternoon, and I put in the bacon-shrimp-cream cheese-jalapeños appetizer rolls, which ended up being most delicious! They were a nice compliment to the salads we each built.

Robert read and napped, while I edited for an hour-and-a-half. Good progress.

Dancing was okay tonight. There wasn’t much of a crowd until late into the evening, but most of the dancers, including us, left at about 11:00.
