S-L work, Helios feedback, K-Mart shopping, a haircut, and a skeleton dance crew…

I woke up at around 8:30 today, wanted to go back to sleep, but couldn’t because I had this survey on my mind that I wanted to create for Service-Learning.

I culled the action items and added headings to the 01/29 minutes, and then spent about an hour-and-a-half creating two surveys.

I sent an e-mail to Myra and Patti asking them to do a quick check on the action items and headings, and pointed them to the surveys for their input on that.

I sent some feedback to Helios using their feedback form. I commented on three things:

  • the new guy, Thomas, and his customer-oriented actions,
  • the lack of feedback on my writing submissions for their Writers Forum,
  • and their lack of an “average Joe customer” in their Friends of Helios group.

At around 3:00, I went to K-Mart on Western, where I purchased:

That place is so pathetic in terms of customer service and help. The lady at the register seemed like she was on a heavy dose of Valium, just to get her through her shift.

On the way home, I stopped by to get a haircut. Actually, I got ’em all cut. Ba-dump bump. It’s a limited engagement folks.

I napped for an hour before heading to Flex. We had a “skeleton crew” for dancing tonight: myself, Chris, Carl, and Rick.

Carl and I have both forgotten Funky Cowboy, because it’s been so long since we’ve done it. We had it in the queue, but canceled it at the last minute, because we couldn’t figure it out before it started. It’s very unusual for Carl to forget a dance.

When, The Chill Factor came on, this guy from the audience ran out to the dance floor, and did it with Carl and me. Turns out he was from San Diego—and not connected to that—a prick.

It was “Diva of the Dance Video Mix” night, hosted by the CBL, so the dancing was stopped right at 10:30 to get on with that. I hung out with Carl (until he left) and Chris (zinnian) and his beau, Bryan, most of the night.
