I THINK YOU’RE THE FATHER OF ONE OF MY KIDS…
A guy goes to the supermarket and notices a beautiful blonde woman wave at him and say hello. He’s rather taken aback, because he can’t place where he knows her from. So he says, “Do you know me?” To which she replies, “I think you’re the father of one of my kids.” Now his mind travels back to the only time he has ever been unfaithful to his wife and says, “My God! Are you the stripper from my bachelor party that I made love to on the pool table with all my buddies watching, while your partner whipped my ass with wet celery???” She looks into his eyes and calmly says, “No, I’m your son’s teacher.” |
I did a couple of small loads of laundry today, and pretty much stayed put all day.
Starting at about 2:00, I guess, I worked on creating a web site for STC to help us manage the process of applying for Community Awards.
I’ve got to figure out what’s causing two pages (this one and this one) of the site to render improperly on Firefox (the tables are not starting with a line-break). I think I need some form of the <div> tag around the tables. UPDATE: Fixed! Yay!
It was one of those things in which I was in flow for a long period of time, because the next thing I knew it was 7:30, I hadn’t yet had dinner, and it was almost time to go dancing.
It was good to dance again, as I’ve missed a week or two now, between not feeling well and my ski trip. We had a decent number of dancers: Carl, Bill, Geromy, Ernie, Steven, and a guest appearance by Alan, whom it’s always a pleasure to see.
The last time I was at dancing, Bill told me that when he and Carl were going through his mother’s things, when they saw one particular thing, they both said, “That’s for John Martin.”
They had it with them tonight, and it’s sheet music (in great shape, I might add) of Harper Valley, PTA.
There was no crowd to speak of. For a while four guys were playing partners pool, and later, only two of them. There was, literally, about 6 other patrons in the bar, until about 10:30, when a group of 5-6 very young people came in, half of them women.
At about 10:45 all of the dancers left at once.
