A dingaling ring, religious fiction, taxes, some S-L work, and “entertainment”…

I love these two postcards from this week’s PostSecret postings:

We were up at 10:00 this morning and followed our standard morning routine: coffee, a little breakfast, listening to music, and catching up on the news on laptops.

I installed TurboTax, and Robert did his taxes before heading back to Durham.

After he left, I did mine. This activity also involved collecting, sorting, and filing the unwieldy stacks of papers scattered in piles throughout my house, in which I found what I was looking for—my Vehicle Tax Notice, paid back in June.

It’s nice to have my taxes done with a couple of week buffer, so that I can do Jeane’s. Which reminds me, I need to get to the post office tomorrow to sign for her paperwork that arrived on Thursday.

I worked a couple of hours on S-L items, finishing up the minutes of the S-L CNR Faculty Meeting on Friday and pulling together, and disseminating to the team, upcoming conference information, which they need to try and expense some registration and travel items during this fiscal year if possible.

I met Joe at 9:00 at Flex, and we played a few games of free pool. Tequila Rose was as obnoxious as hell—par for the course.

I still have some kind of low-grade crud, which gave me a couple of respiratory fits last night. Perhaps it’s the Big C from second-hand smoke.

Brian (brianrdu) came in late in the evening, and not too long after that the three of us went over to Legends to see the show. Coti Collins was in the show tonight and watching her, I couldn’t help but think about Clay Aiken and this mess.

Once again, some black drag queen guest from out of town did Tina Turner near the end, and the crowd went into an absolute frenzy.
