I cooked French Toast for us for breakfast this morning, and as become our ritual, Robert cleaned up. I so appreciate that.

I spent a couple of hours reading the morning news online, devising Saturday’s blog entry, and responding to a meme.

I made some tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch, before Robert headed back to Durham.

I spent almost the entire afternoon making reservations for my birthday trip to Australia in October.

I made significant progress, and received a positive response to an inquiry about the availability of a particularly desirable resort I want to stay at in the middle of the trip. Booked it, Danno.

I have a few more reservations to make—a car for a few days, and “the night before” for stays before heading out to resorts the following day—to tidy it all up, and hope to complete everything tomorrow.

At around 7:30 my doctor called, and at first I didn’t recognize him. I thought he said, “This is Adam from the Apparel Center…” at which point the rolling of my eyes short-circuited my brain. As it turned out, he said, “This is Adam from Imperial Center Family Medicine…”

He wanted to know how I was doing, and he told me that my blood test results showed that I did indeed have an (off strain) of Strep, and he was glad to hear that the switch to the stronger antibiotic (Augmentin XR) seemed to have helped.

I checked out Scareyoke tonight. Gerald was out. Ernie was out, as was Ben and Adrian. Tequila Rose was the hostess, and she actually kept her trap shut most of the evening so wasn’t too grating on the nerves.

I considered going over to Legends for the 12:30 show, but ended up bagging that idea, heading home right at about midnight.
