Looks like I will just have to squint through my bifocals…

Hello,

I hope this information helps you.

Or, I guess I could get one of these…

It’s a Whole Different Story in the Supermodel Car

Four-year-old boy: Mommy, why don’t nobody look at each other on the train?

Mother: ‘Cause they ugly.

I love the caption on that one.

I worked from home today, and had a brief call with a new person in my department who works in Austin. She’s seems real nice, and I look forward to meeting her in “real life” next week.

I turned a couple of widgets for the Center for Excellence in Curricular Engagement today.

I stopped by the Avent Ferry Street Post Office today, where I mailed a birthday package to Donna, my ex-wife. Later in the day I had a quick, “Happy 50th” phone call with her.

I met with Myra, the STC Newsletter Advisor, and John Strange, the new STC Newsletter Editor for the upcoming academic year, for a “turnover session” as last year’s editor.

We met at the Center for Excellence in Curricular Engagement’s conference room, and we had a productive meeting, just over an hour long, which included me walking John through creating a survey using SurveyBuilder.

There was “bus drama” going home, as the night service had started, and the bus had to take this long detour over and through the Vet School and Fairground areas, during which zero passengers got on the bus, and since I was the only one already on, zero got off.

It took me just under an hour to finally get to my stop, which usually takes 15-20 minutes. The unfun aspect of using public transportation.

I listened to several podcasts, including three of “Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers,” which of course made me laugh out loud several times on the bus. Listening to podcasts instead of paying attention to the road—a great aspect of public transportation.

I ran to the Harris Teeter, where I bought among a few other things, the B and the L to go with all the Ts. I have. At home, after bacon grease splashing on my arms, chest, and all over the surface of the stove, including the nearby burner while I cooked it to “crispy, I decided that maybe the little-bit-more-expensive kind that’s already cooked and warms up in seconds in the microwave, is totally worth the extra money. I’m just saying…

I did have me a killer BLT when it was all said and done, though. Those tomatoes from Bill’s garden are delicious.

I created my speaker notes for my Will & Ned poster, and spruced up our Powerpoint slide presentation a little in preparation for my meeting with Vivian and Clyde, the other two presenters, tomorrow morning in Wilson.

I read just a little of A Prayer for Owen Meany before falling asleep, during which I laughed out loud at a couple of things. Love it; love it; love it!
