I parked at the Avent Ferry Food Lion parking lot, and caught the bus to school.
I worked most of the day on the “swoosh” poster with Myra and Patti. The effort felt very collaborative, and my input felt valued. Job satisfiers at their best.
Irene called to tell me she was close to our meeting point, and I said, “Okay, I’ll drive right over.”
As I left the office it occurred to me that I had no car. I called her back, and she ended up picking me up at Hillsborough Street.
We had a delightful “ladies night out for lunch” at Irregardless. Maria and I each got the:

Maria got the junior portion; I got the manly portion, the difference being between a one-egg omelet and a two-egg omelet and 75 cents in price.
Irene got the:

She found the chicken a little dry, and the overall flavor a little bland.
Susan had the Blue Plate Special, which today consisted of the:

The vegetable was green beans, and hers was probably the best tasting of all. Yes, I had a taste.
Anne got the:

She got a side salad, and before she could say that she was just moving the raisins in it to the side — because she likes raisins, but not mixed in the salad and would eat them later — her two sisters descended on them and picked them out like a bear on salmon eye sockets. But I grizzily digress…
In addition to food, we had some persiflage for lunch. Love it.
The ladies dropped me off back at the corner of Hillsborough and Pullen, and I sent them on their way to the airport, providing all food landmarks between where they were and the beltline entrance — Cup-A-Joe’s (arguably a food place), Arby’s, Snoopy’s, Applebees, and the Waffle House.
Sunny 93.9 started playing Christmas music today — all day, every day, between now and December 25, 2006. ‘Nuff said.
Robert was already at my place when I got home, and I made nachos for dinner for us, using ground turkey mixed with Manwich Bold for the meat topping.
Robert made me a drink while I cooked, and he cleaned up afterwards. Always helpful. One of the many things I love about him.
After trying out and setting up, my iLamp and my Motorola phone system to charge, we worked on a crossword puzzle.
Dancing was okay tonight. Carl reviewed Cowboy Handjive. I hate that dance.
We left a little early, before 11:00, and worked on another crossword puzzle when we got home.
Lights out, and Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
