Conflict and resolution, working at home, working out, and starting on my rebate…

I’m not sure how one resolves these two things:

Inmate Found Dead in Women’s Prison

An inmate at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women was found dead over the weekend in an apparent suicide, authorities said Monday.

Officers discovered Nicole Bouleris, 29, hanging from her bed at about 8:15 a.m. Saturday, authorities said. The State Bureau of Investigation is examining the incident, which is standard procedure in prison deaths due to non-natural causes.

Bouleris was serving an eight-month sentence for drug-related crimes in Durham County. She had previously served time for an arson conviction in Wake County.

Nicole Jeanette Bouleris, 29, died on January 26, 2008.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., Monday night, at McLaurin Funeral Home.

Nicole was a caring, intelligent woman with a beautiful smile and spectacular blue eyes. She was compassionate and loving towards her family, friends and strangers, and she showed her love in ways that would touch you forever. She loved animals, especially her dog, Charly. A swimmer in high school, Nicole was graceful as a dolphin in the water. She was child-like and playful in nature and could engage with children at their level. She was inquisitive and sought to understand the universe through mathematics and computers. Nicole will be in our thoughts, prayers and our hearts everyday. She has found peace in heaven.

She is survived by her parents, Donna S. Kidder and Dean R. Bouleris, both of Raleigh; brother and sister-in-law, Matthew C. Bouleris and wife, Amanda of Raleigh; maternal grandmother, Patricia Cole of Temple, TX; paternal grandmother, Margaret Bouleris of Troy, NY; a niece and nephew, Savannah Lake Bouleris, and Caedmon Cole Bouleris.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to the Wake County S.P.C.A., 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.

She presumably committed the crimes and arson against somebody. Not sure how the “caring, compassionate, or loving” applied toward the people involved in those incidents.

I feel for her family in this conflict. I used to work in the same area as Nicole’s mother, and her father sits in the office just around the corner from me now. Tragic.

I worked from home today, and edited for about 8 hours straight. Tedious, but doable, and it pays the bills.

This is the kind of meal that makes me think I could survive as a vegetarian. I absolutely love this Lean Cuisine:

I eat the entire thing, including the peas, of which there are plenty, and which I plenty dislike.

I joined Planet Fitness tonight, and worked out for an hour. I’m starting on my “Healthy Lifestyle Rebate” (or some such name as that) through work, for which I have to exercise for at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week for 10 out of 12 consecutive weeks.

I stopped at the Harris Teeter, since it’s right there, after my workout, and I saved $11, while spending $55.
