Slept in, did laundry and a little cleaning, danced, and Bon Qui Qui…

I slept in this morning, allowing myself a full eight hours sleep. Yay!

I added a link to my Twitter stream off to the right in the links column.

I did three loads of laundry today—one whites, one colors, and one sheets (you know you needed that much detail!)—straightened up (my house, not me) some, hung up my new shower curtain liner (which I bought several days ago) in my guest bathrrom, and actually vacuumed upstairs and downstairs! Go me!

BUStle (Redux)
I forgot to mention two things in yesterday’s debut of BUStle. The driver who was driving the bus on my way home was just hilarious—a big ole black girl who did two things that made me literally laugh out loud:

  1. At a very busy three-way intersection, where Conifer meets Gorman, she was making a left-hand turn with endless traffic in each direction, and after about two minutes of waiting, she just started screaming, “THEY NEED TO PUT A THREE-WAY STOP SIGN AT THIS INTERSECTION. I’M GONNA SIT HERE ALL DAY TRYING TO MAKE A TURN INTO THIS… [interrupting herself, seeing a small opening and gunning it] I DON’T CARE I’M GOING NOW!
  2. We were approaching a stop, and there was a student who was obviously coming for the bus, but was far enough away from the stop that he had to start running in order to make it. Looking at him out her sideview mirror, she yelled, “RUN, FORREST, RUN!”

I ran to the grocery store, primarly for some cocktail sauce for tonight’s dinner, but a few other things, too. Once back, I put the chicken in the oven, and got the Potatoes Au Gratin ready to add into the oven after about thrity minutes.

While that was cooking, I sliced and diced the watermelon that I’d also picked up.

Dancing was fun enough tonight. I picked and chose my dances carefully, trying to avoid ones that put a lot of stress on my knee—namely those involving any kind of twisting.

We left shortly after the dancing stopped at 10:30, and once in bed, we did a USA Today crossword puzzle that was supposed to be easy, but turned out to be somewhat of a bitch. Eventually though, we got all but a few.

I’ll end with a funny video from Mad TV. I just love the name “Bon Qui Qui.” It’s about 3.5 minutes long.
