Marked knee improvement, holiday shopping, and Wayne & Cronin’s party…

When I got up today, it was like some kind of switch had flipped on or something, as my knee was exponentially better. Very noticeably so.

My back, however, hurt like fuck.

I spent the early afternoon finishing my holiday letter—finally.

At around 4:00, I headed to the Borders in Cary intent on using a 40%-off coupon on one item that was only good until tomorrow. It wasn’t until I was at the register did I notice that the coupon said, “For Borders Reward Members Only,” so I “joined the club” (which was free) to use it.

I didn’t intend to, but I ended up doing all of my Christmas shopping in one feel swoop—with stops in Crossroads at Kohl’s, Target, and Best Buy.

Robert arrived at a little after six o’clock, and at 7:15, we headed out to Wayne and Cronin’s Christmas Party.

OMG, what a beautiful home they have! And decorated to the absolute nines—maybe even the tens, if there is such a thing. There were no less than five Christmas trees throughout the house (more, I think, and a couple of them weren’t put up because they’re in the middle of renovating!), and the one in the den rotated on its stand.

The music was good, the food was good, and the company was good. All the makings of a successful party, of which this was one!

At home, Robert and I watched a few episodes of Six Feet Under. We’re heading down the home stretch now—into the fifth, and final. season.
