Sleeping in, fatted calves of a prodigal son, published but not available, and To-Haven’ts…

~Tuesday~  I slept in this morning. Glorious vacation.

I made my way back to the gym this afternoon—The prodigal son returns to Planet Fitness, if you will. Fortunately for me, there was a Bring-Your-Own-Fatt(en)ed-Calves party going on there today, so I fit right in.

During my workout, which consisted of 60 minutes on the treadmill for a 550-calorie burn, I listened to several podcasts:

  1. I finished the previously-started Middle of the Night episode of This American Life.
  2. I finished a previously-started episode of Wait! Wait! Don’t tell me!
  3. Three Slate Magazine Daily Podcasts

I received the Winter 2009 edition of NC State Alumni Magazine, in which my letter to the editor is published. The online version of the magazine is not yet up on their website. I’ll link to it when it’s available, assuming I can link specifically to my letter or at least to the Letters to the Editor section.

I spent a good couple of hours today catching up my blog, and another good chunk of time playing online Scrabble, mostly with Robert and Will.

Robert had some cruel drama imposed on him tonight that I’m not going to go into here, but suffice it to say that it put him through a range of emotions, and just left me, well, angry. Not at Robert, of course, but at the cruel imposition.

Earlier in the month, I made a list of things I’d like to accomplish during my week off work. Tuesday’s over already and it’s not looking good for most of them, which stresses me out just a little:

  • Schedule Syd to come replace my faucets, which I bought over two months ago.
  • Watch several of The Wire episodes.
  • Install WordPress on my Aplus.net domain and start a redesign of my home page.
  • Move my contacts from my Palm Pilot to Google Contacts.
  • Gather donations for Goodwill.
  • Organize medical receipts from 2009 to mail in for my Flexible Spending Account reimbursement.
  • Mail Jay’s SFU DVDs back to him.

Out of all these things, exactly zero are done, and my week off is two-fifths over.

I love this onesentence.org entry:
