Final final arrangements, practicing homosexuality, drag her to Oak Street, the gym, and dancing…

~Saturday~  Today was quite the affirming day with regards to communications with my relatives, and by the end of it, I was able to articulate the final arrangements for my aunt’s funeral, which I’m posting here for posterity:

There is going to be a mass on Wednesday, 02/10/10, starting at 10:00. Mom, Dad, and I are going to meet Karen, Joe (her partner), and Lisa at the Breezy Lake Drive house at 9:30 in time to leave from there at 9:30 driving together to the church together.

The mass starts at 10:00 and is expected to last an hour. Church details:

St. John & James Parish
20 Washington St.
West Warwick, RI 02893
Cross Streets: Between Main/Sinnott Street & St. John Street
(401) 821-7661

After the mass, we will all follow each other in a funeral procession to:

Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery
301 South County Trail
Exeter, RI 02822-3526

where there will be a very short graveside service.

In the process of back-and-forth e-mail with family, I also found out that a few of my cousins will be there, whom I haven’t seen in at 25 years, I would say, if not longer. Should be nice.

Two failblog.org entries cracked me up today—one image:

At the gym today, I did my lower body routine followed by 300 (15 sets of 20 reps) ab crunches. The last five of those sets talked to me.

From the gym, I ran over to Kohl’s at Crossroads Plaza, where I bought a new pair of sneakers, since my old ones have begun to tear along a seam.

On the way to dancing a had a most enjoyable conversation with Uncle Rene and Aunt Rita with both of them listening in on the other end.

Dancing was fun tonight, and it started off with Rick and I toasting my Aunt Annette each with a shot of Turkey 101.

We had a good number of dancers and the crowd grew to a pretty decent size by the time we stopped dancing. I danced several line dances in the front row tonight, as Geromy wasn’t there. Not that it’s about being in the front row.
