An abdominal near-incident, choosing my weapon, and out-of-town trade…

~Saturday~  I was up fairly early for a Saturday, since I fell asleep so early last night.

I woke up at 1:30 in the morning and had abdominal pains severe enough that, for a brief amount of time, I wondered if I was having some sort of “incident.” Perhaps too much greasy food at happy hour yesterday.

In spite of having eight hours sleep overnight, I napped from about 1:30 until 4:00, and I felt much better when I woke up. It seemed to have “passed.”

I got to the gym in time to do some stretching, do 300 (15 sets of 20) ab crunches, and 40 minutes on the elliptical machine to finish at 6:50, ten minutes before closing.

At one point, there was a decent-looking guy on the cycling machine a couple of rows in front of me, and the back of his t-shirt said, “Choose Your Weapon.” I just kept answering in my head, “I Choose Your Weapon.”

Back at home, I completed Thursday’s blog entry, had a nice instant message conversation with Robert, and made several moves in several online Scrabble games during the early evening.

I met Joe at Flex at 10:00, where it was the “America’s Next Top Cub” contest night. It was an amusing display of egos, with the most interesting thing being that there were a lot of “non-regulars” there. It’s always nice to have a change of scenery.

Two guys from wooftease.com (which I’d never heard of until tonight) had “set up shop” in one section of the bar and were selling t-shirts at $20 a pop. That’s what I was told anyway; I, myself, did not check them out.

There was also a lot of picture-taking, professionally, near that t-shirt area, too, and I had no idea what that was all about. I guessed maybe you could put a picture of yourself on one of the t-shirts, or that perhaps they were taking pictures of the guys who had entered the contest. Who cares?

I left Joe there, at either 1:15 or 1:30. I repeat. Who cares?
