A productive board meeting, a lunch with Moxie, hours of minutes, and shirtless men drink free…

~Saturday~ I was up at 7:30 this morning, and I left for Durham at 9:45, so as not to be rushed for my 10:30 meeting downtown.

We had a productive Manbites Dog Theater board meeting, which was scheduled to end at noon, and we actually adjourned at 11:50. My kind of calendar integrity.

I ran by Roberts to pick him up, and we had lunch at the COOK OUT over on Roxboro Road. He actually just had a shake and I had a chili cheese dog and an order of fries.

Evidently is was Moxie Pest Control driver lunch day at the COOK OUT, too, as we saw two trucks pull in and out in the short time we were there.

I actually spent a couple of hours today devising Friday’s blog entry from my notes.

I tried to download Open Office on my new Mac, but my wireless connection was sucking eggs, so I went to the gym instead, where I did 300 (15 sets of 20) ab crunches, followed by 40 minutes of cardio on the elliptical machine.

Back home, after showering, I went into my office, where I was able to download Open Office very quickly, and I used it to do the minutes of our morning board meeting. I wanted to get them down as soon as possible, as there were a couple of very time-sensitive action items that came out of the meeting, and in general, it’s always much easier to do the minutes while everything is still fresh in my mind.

At a little after 10:30 PM, I stopped, having everything done except going back through and pulling out the agreements and action items to highlight at the beginning of the document. I can do that tomorrow.

I met Joe, Alex, and Steven at Flex, where it was Give-Your-Shirt-to-Miss-Mims-and-Get-Free-Beer-All-Night-Long night.

Later in the evening, we ventured over to 313. Avoiding a “holy trinity” for the night, I went home from there.
