I ran out at lunch time and bought a car…

~Saturday~ I had an appointment for 1:00 today at Carmax, where I bought my previous two cars, and I went with two vehicles in mind to test drive. I was pretty certain I wanted to buy a car today, so much so that I took everything out of my car before heading over there, so I could just leave it.

Among other things, that included grabbing all of the coins I throw in my console whenever I get change while in my car:

Plastic bowl full of coins

I’m going to bring this to the credit union on Monday and dump it in the coin counter when I go get my check to pay off my car. Care to guess how much is in it? If anyone does, I’ll post the answer in Monday’s blog entry.

I ended up not even test-driving an SUV that I was considering, and it turned out that my first choice of a Camry was actually in the Winston-Salem Carmax and not this one. So, I test drove this instead, and for those of you who saw last Tuesday’s blog entry about all the issues with my current car, it will probably come as no surprise to you that I bought it:

2011 Gold Toyota Camry

It’s a 2011 and it has 33,000 miles on it. As I said in a status update on Facebook:

My preantepenultimate car was a silver Camry. My antepenultimate car was a white Camry. My penultimate car was a silver Camry. As of today, my car is a gold Camry.
