“My day was very good,” I said as I stood alone, or so I thought.
“What made it very good, as opposed to just plain good?” asked a nearby person who heard me as she was walking by.
“Well, one thing was that I enjoyed today’s word from the A Word A Day website,” I said as I wondered if she would be familiar with it.
“Oh yeah? And what was it?” she asked as if she meant the word and not the website.
“It was wellerism,” I said looking at her as she processed the word.
“Oh, so that’s why you’re talking like that!!!” she exclaimed as she nodded knowingly.
