Two things I didn’t understand today: food and clothing conundrums…

~Saturday~ Two things I didn’t understand today—one about food, and the other about clothes.

Let’s start with the food. I don’t understand how the product in the first row can be used to make the product in the second.

How can an ingredient that has 120 calories per tablespoon be the main ingredient in another product that has 0 calories? [Hover over pics for additional information.]

As you may recall with my shoe shopping, I’m the type of shopper that likes to buy the same thing I had previously when something wears out.

Today, I set out to buy some new workout shorts, and I went to three stores before I could find ones like the ones I already own. I don’t know what these materials are, but I think of the ones that I own as being made out of cotton, and the grand majority of them now are made out of what I think of as rayon or nylon. They’re shiny and all of them had these little holes in them.

When I finally did find a pair of the same brand and made out of the same material, my final requirement couldn’t be met. I don’t like to workout in shorts that hang lower than my knees, but there were none to be had like my previous ones.

Is it too much to ask to find the same clothes you used to have when they wear out? And, no I don’t think just because it’s been 10 or 15 years since you bought the last ones that you shouldn’t still be able to find another pair like them. Whatever happened to the “classics” section?
