~Monday~ Speaking of Dame Maggie Smith, my friend Jen and I have finished up season 3 of Glee, and in her desire to have something to watch over the summer, she has chosen Downton Abbey, and has invited me along for the ride!
She’s already seen season one (or “series one,” as they call it), but is going to re-watch it with me, and then we’ll move on to series two together.
I was so excited when she asked me to watch it with her, because:
- I’ve heard so many good things about this show.
- It’s a show about which I’ve said, “If I had a TV, I’d probably watch that show every week.”
- It has Maggie Smith in it.
I had heard so much about it, and I love Maggie so much, that I’d watched this YouTube clip several months back:
So, after watching the final episode of Glee last week, Jen and I watched the first episode, and I was thrilled to see a couple of gay characters in it right off the bat.
And tonight, we watched episodes two and three. And episode three. Oh. My. God. That one turn in the story line! Which if you watch the show, you know what I’m talking about.
BAM! Kicked it up a notch!
