Games night…

I met Jim Laing for lunch today at Southpoint Mall. We ate Chick-Fil-A. Afterward, we walked around the mall once, and outside where he showed me where a restaurant we’ve had a suggestion to go to for an EAGLE lunch was.

At the bottom of the escalator, before we went outside, we were approached to participate in a new product from Lipton. They needed someone in the 40-50 year old range. They only needed, one, so we declined.

After seeing the restaurant, Jim went one way to his car, and I went the other back into the mall. I went back and participated in the Lipton survey.

I tasted some way-too-sweet strawberry-kiwi half iced tea, half fruit juice drink that tasted neither like strawberry, nor kiwi — discuss! The pollster actually prompted me with one answer, so in reality, my whole survey was a farce.

I called Robert on my way home telling him it was 4:30, and I was at the light turning left on Kent heading to the food lion. He was just behind me at the Blue Ridge – Western Blvd. exit, so he joined me at the left-turn light. We bought taco sauce and shells for dinner.

We had killer tacos before leaving for games night at about 7:10. We stopped at Cameron Village on the way, and I returned Uncle Mame, which was due today.

We had a very fun time at games night. It was quite crowded, with lots of new folks, which is great. We played Catch Phrase (several games), Taboo, and The Poll Game (with no cards — all questions made up).

We went through the Krispy Kreme drive-thru on the way home. I got one donut, and Robert got two. Yum.

At home, we hit the sack, and MMMMMMMMMMMMed.
