Ships passing in the morning…

Courtney and I saw each other for about two minutes this morning. Oh well. At least we had that.

I had a good day today. My conference call with Loretta, Mary, Lila, Cassandra, and Jennifer (hey, it was an all-girl call) went pretty well. Marilyn’s actions frustrate the hell out of me at times.

The 21 CFR 11 update call went fairly well. I only got one action item assigned to me, and Cassandra really stepped up to the plate, and showed some leadership, which is great.

I had a nice chat with Irene for a few minutes after the call, and before I left for class.

Class was great. That class always flies by even though it’s three hours. Jennifer arrived about 20 minutes late, which was fine. (More time for the professor to talk.)

We spent some time talking about on-line/distance ed/computer based training and what’s different about it from face-to-face. Jennifer referenced the day she and I had an “on-line” class, and how great it was, and how she got to know me, etc, “and then, in class, nothing,” she said, “there’s no connection.” LOL. I felt like saying, if I talked in addition to you talking, the professor would never get a word in edge-wise.

It was an interesting comment, though. It made me think of my “on-line” persona vs. my “real life” persona, and the ways in which it differs.

In my mail at home was such a sweet card from Steve. A picture of a fortune cookie, with “Good Luck” on the little piece of paper sticking out of it. Inside it says, “That I have you in my life.” How heartwarming, and brought a spill of blink to my eyes. I do have some wonderful friends.

When I got home, my Studio MX 2004 software was waiting in a box in front of my door. Yippee. I spent the rest of the night “playing with it,” (and the software, too — LOL) working on starting the revamp of my home page. I don’t intend to finish that right now, but am just using it to learn.

I already have lots of questions about frames, and thought there was a LTS class on that, but checked, and there isn’t. Tomorrow, I’ll send a note to the LTS help id, and ask them if they have any handouts on frames.

Steven checked in, which I was glad about, and I hate that I didn’t go workout. He seemed very more okay with it, though. I gave him my cell phone number so he could check in next time, if he had any doubt about my going. Actually, it made me smile to think that he went without me. Good for him!

Had a little chat with Robert on AIM, and we firmed up plans for tomorrow night. Parizade it is, at 6:30, and the Ruddigore at 8. He’s pretty excited about it, as am I.
