Sharon’s March Madness party…

I worked all day on my brochure for my ENG 517 class, due Monday. I made great progress, and by 5:30 sent a copy via the Internet to Kinkos to be copied.

I had a somewhat grueling AIM conversation with Irene. She’s got herself into a real mess in Texas, and is expending so much energy maintaining a facade of a family that’s “working.” I hope she comes around soon.

I showered at a little after 7, and stopped by Kinkos on the way to Sharon’s party to see how the brochure turned out. I had to wait for about 15 minutes, and as a result the guy said, “No charge.” Cool. It looks pretty good, but it will go through the edit machine tomorrow.

I arrived to Sharon’s party, and met the book club in the kitchen. We looked at some old pictures, and talked about everything but books. The munchies were KILLER, and I ate more than I should have, but less than I would have had I not been dieting. Sometimes that’s the best you can hope for.

Mary left at about 9:30, and then the we moved out into the living room, and started playing Catch Phrase, which I had brought with me. It was so much fun. Just love that game. The teams were me, Carol, and Annette (who I love and Suzanne doesn’t) against Suzanne, Janet, and Sharon. We laughed and laughed and laughed.

I left there at 11, leaving my game there so they could play another game. I met Joe at Flex, and it was “fetish night.” There was hardly anybody we knew there, and after a little while, we headed over to CCs.

I saw Rob there, and he looked great. He has stopped coloring his hair, so it was short, and salt and pepper. Along with his salt and pepper stubble, he got a rise out of me. That boy turned me on physically from the day we met to the day I left after 6.5 years.

I was a little saddened by the fact that it appeared that if I hadn’t have gone up to give him a hug, he wouldn’t have initiated. That’s sad to me. Then again, he is an introvert, which might have played into that.

I left there after 2:30. It was too late, and I had had too much to drink. Thank God, I made it home without incident.
