Spent the entire morning getting ready for my 1:00, as usual. As is happening more often than not lately, Alan didn’t attend, and it was 15 minutes before a 2nd line came on the line.
As I was going through the agenda item for management, Candie stopped me to tell me that Mark (the only 2nd line on) had had to drop off to join Alan on the customer call. Ridiculous.
Rhonda came in after lunch, and had had a stressful day, just coming from Mel’s office, with he giving her shit about her outage due to her sick child. This seemed out of character for Mel, wonder if he’s having a bad day.
I left the office at about 3:20, and stopped by B667 to give Jennette hers and Nan’s wedding gift. She guess that it was a place setting, which was great, because it isn’t. 🙂
I stopped by Harris Teeter on Buck Jones Road on the way home, and bought $101.00 worth of groceries. It’s been forever since I’ve spent that much on groceries, but they had a lot of Lean Cuisines that I like, which I loaded up on, and also got two CPK pizzas. I also had to buy a couple of spices for these recipes. Those damn spices are outrageous.
I worked on homework when I got home, and cooked one of the Lean Cuisines — the Thai Chicken one. Yum. I also finished off the butternut squash, which was delicious!
I left for class at about 7:10. In the parking lot in front of Thompkins, a horn blew as I was going in the door. I didn’t look up, thinking, “Who would be honking at me?”
Once at my desk, Meagan came in a minute later, “Are you deaf?” She had just got a new car, and wanted me to see it, which I thought was odd. I don’t feel at all that close to her. Oh well. I’d better get used to it, I guess, as she is in both my classes again in the Fall Semester. Grrrrrrrr.
After class, I stopped at Carmichael to walk. The moon was so big and beautiful, and it immediately reminded me of Robert, so I called him. “I’ve been busted,” he said when he answered.
He was in the grocery store in the ice cream section just about to pick out some Bryers. 🙂 Too funny. Then he told me that he’d picked up this little teeny tiny jar of mayonnaise. “You do realize that what matters more is that you put a teeny tiny little bit on your sandwich, not that it comes out of a teeny tiny little jar.” We both had a good laugh over that. I love making him laugh.
I walked 13 laps, two miles, in 30 minutes. That’s two points burned off. Yay.
At home I had AIM conversations with Steve, Steven, and Joe. I saved the latest copies of my two grad school stories and the TCW brochure to my hard drive. I responded to Phyl’s email. I read the EAGLE database. I checked my work calendar for tomorrow. I checked the (National Championship final) game score a couple of times. Not looking good for Georgia Tech.
