Janet called from her cell phone at 10:35 asking me to cover for her at the EAGLE DNG table in the Tier Complex for about 45 minutes. She was on her way to a doctor’s appointment. I got to the Tier cafeteria right at 11, and the tables for the DNGs hadn’t been set up. I took one from the area by the blood pressure machine, and set it up. It was annoying to have to do it, especially with my lower back pain.
Beth from the Women’s DNG was set up next to me, and she flitted about introducing herself. In the 40 minutes I was there, one person stopped by the table, but she actually asked for some materials instead of freaking out that she was in front of the GLBT table. I like how she said, “What do I need to know?” as she glanced at the available materials. If she’s a manager, she’s probably a good one.
Janet showed up at about 11:40, and I sent her in to get something to eat before I left, which was good since her Dr.’s appointment had involved fasting, and she was starving.
Robert came over after work, and we grilled turkey burgers on the grill. He stopped at the Food Lion for us on the way over, and got the rolls, and a family size order of cole slaw from Kentucky Fried Chicken. We had that, and some Ore-Ida Crinkly Cut French Fries for dinner.
Dancing was fun, very sparse at first, but it eventually filled up. I mentioned to Adam about coming over for drinks and a cookout on Saturday, the 29th, his birthday from about 4-7:30, and then we’d all head over to Flex for dancing from 8-2.
