I got up at about 9, after just a few hours sleep, and worked on our group presentation until 11:00. I then showered, and left for Bruegger’s at 11:40 to meet Will and Tanya to rehearse our presentation.
I got a bagel and coffee, as did Tanya, but the bag they gave her for her bagel was dirty, so she wouldn’t eat it. She threw it away. She did have a tall glass of coffee, though.
We started in one corner of the restaurant, and after a while moved over to two tables, which we pulled together, over by the window where there was a plug.
We made some adjustments to the presentation, and then did a timed run through it, “stopping the clock” whenever we stopped to discuss a point or change something.
After almost 3 hours there, we were satisfied with what we had. Back home I did more research on a couple of the things that I could get by with, but wasn’t fully comfortable with.
At about 9:00, I’d had enough, and decided to run down to Flex since it was Cruella’s birthday. I called Robert on the way, and he ended up meeting there. It turned out to be a very fun evening. Shawn and Josh were there as was Robert, and a guy he’d met there named Barry, or was it Wayne? I don’t know.
We drank a lot, sang along loudly on a few karaoke songs, did a shot with Shawn, and just had an all around good time. We also renewed our memberships there, as they were having a special, and because I pulled my NC State student ID out to get to my old Flex card, James saw it and said, “You can get in free here at any time with that.” Cool!
