On a whim, I sent this email to the publisher of NutriSystem’s online newsletter at 11:17:
Hi Beth,
I don’t know if you can use this, but I was in a silly mood with a friend yesterday, and she took my picture with her cell phone camera of me surrounded by my new shipment of food. LOL.
Best regards,
John Martin
P.S. If you decide to use it, I’d rather send you a copy of the picture than to point people to the copy that’s on my home page server.

At 12:16, I received this reply:
Hi John,
Hey, this is a great photo, and yes, I’d love to use it in our newsletter! In fact, we’ve been thinking of starting a new section of that publication just for that purpose! We often get “fun” photos from our members, and starting with your photo, I’d love to ‘kick off’ that new addition to our newsletter in the March 6th issue. (Our newsletter comes out bi-weekly on Sundays, and the next one is already finished, but March 6th would be perfect.)
So…could I get that copy of the photo from you? And then you can keep an eye out for it in that March 6th issue!
Thanks for sending it my way, and only the best wishes to you on your NutriSystem program (and be sure to send me your “before and after” photos once you reach your goal!).

What fun!
I ran through Will’s suggested tasks for our Usability Test today, and created screen captures of each step, while making notes and noting questions, when I had one, about each task.
Class was good tonight. I got 10 points out of 10 points for my Inquiry Usability Report, which was very cool. I have to remember to thank my “participants,” and to send them a copy.
Class got out a few minutes early, so I took advantage of that by stopping at HT for a loaf of bread. They had 100% Whole Wheat (3 grams of fiber) bread on sale — two for one. I bought two, and put one in the freezer.
I met Joe at Helios at 7:30. He had shaved off his goatee, but I recognized him anyway. 🙂 He caught me up on his long, long weekend in Charlotte.
I left for Flex at about 8:40. The usuals were there when I arrived, and it filled up, both with dancers, and with barflies, as the night progressed. It was a fun night.
