When Robert came on AIM this morning, I told him that my ham was missing. “Oh, it’ll turn up, I’m sure,” he said. “Until then, it’s MIA ham.” I thought this was both hysterical and amazing. Hysterical just because it’s very, very punny, which I love, and amazing because two gay guys actually know who Mia Hamm is, and can use her name as a pun in a sentence. Go us!
I made my transportation reservation on the South Tahoe Express to get me to and from the airport and the ski resort. I’m on the noon shuttle going out on Wednesday, and on the 8:30PM shuttle returning to the airport Sunday evening. My skis should be ready tomorrow at Alpine. So far, everything’s a go.
I had the chicken salad on melba toast for lunch. Delish! I also had a salad with it. For snacks today, I have an orange, some yogurt, and a bag of carrots to munch on. Woohoo.
After work, I finished up the last review of our ENG 508 group test plan. I’m pretty pleased with it. I hope the others are.
I wasn’t going to eat dinner tonight, because I was just feeling blah, but my stomach growled and I thought, Better give it what it wants so it doesn’t go into starvation mode, and stop burning calories. Another reason I wasn’t too thrilled about eating was that I’m in this stage in this cold that I can hardly taste anything.
So, I killed two birds with one stone, so to speak, and ate one of my least favorite entrees. That way, I would feed my body, but not miss the taste.
I was in bed by 9:00, and read a 16-page article called, “Beginner’s Guide to Corporate Blogging,” in anticipation of a conversation with the Beth, the NutriSystem electronic newsletter editor.
OH: NEWSFLASH! Ms.(-ing) Ham is no longer AWOL. Bless my mess. It was on the shelf in my pantry the whole time.
