Eating, captioning, and dancing…

I slept in until about 10:30, and then met Kevin, Glenn, Jace, and Sam at Finch’s for breakfast. I worked hard not to pay any mind to the C 75.5 sanitation grade that’s on their wall behind the counter.

Two forms of denial helped me with this:

  1. Jace said that that rating only counts if you eat at the counter. We were in a table, in a separate room even.
  2. We pretended it was an SPF rating of 75.5, which would be a good thing.

The good news is that I’ve been going to Finch’s for a couple of years now, and in all that time, I’ve only ever found one hair in my cheddar cheese omelet. And there was no extra charge for it.

I stopped by K-Mart and bought 5 Read/Write CDs, and a refill bottle of everyday shower spray.

I spent most of the day loading my Alaskan Cruise pictures to Snapfish, putting captions on them, and trying to determine if it’s worth ordering a CD of them.

I arrived at Flex at just after eight, and it was dead. Country music wasn’t even playing yet. Turns out Adam was going to be late getting back from the mountains and Van had to fill in at the last minute.

Most of the dancers arrived at about 8:40, and Robert shortly thereafter.

It was a festive night, and had really picked up by the time we quit dancing, which was around 11:00.

Robert left, and I stayed around for about 45 minutes waiting to see if Joe was going to show up. That ridiculous cake-throwing activity for “Uncle Franc’s” Birthday ensued. I didn’t watch it.

At about 11:45, I walked to CCs, and arrived to a line, which was moving too slowly, to get in. Joe was nowhere to be found, and after about a half hour, the most, I left there.

Back at my car, I had a voice mail from Joe saying he was chilling out for the night. Wish I’d checked that before heading over to CCs. Oh well, a $3.00 donation to “support our community.”
